Place of Rest brings us the sense of peace that we find in YHVH Shalom (the LORD our Peace) and that we carry from Him to the world.
- Psalm 132:14 (VOICE) This is My sanctuary, My resting place, forever and ever; I will remain here, for this is what I have desired.
- Isaiah 66:1 (NOG) This is what Yahweh says: Heaven is my throne. The earth is my footstool. Where can you build a house or resting place for me?
A Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “Quiet Yourself and Listen.“
Psalm 27:4 (TPT) Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.
Beloved, in the beauty of our intimacy I cherish all you share with Me even as you are called to revere all I share with you. When you love and respect someone, you value their thoughts and dreams, requests and petitions. So I take great pleasure in yours.
There’s no need to guard your heart from Me, beloved, for your heart is safe in My hands. I love you, and what matters to you, matters to Me. Can you say the same? Be sure to take the time to sit, quiet yourself, and listen. Resist the urge to rush Me to speak. Wait upon Me, and delight in My glory and grace as you gaze upon the beauty of My face.
A portion of a word from LetsPrayAmerica is connected to this piece, “I see a wind coming out of the east… It’s a gentle breeze called rest. That gentle breeze that is blowing upon the children of God. Bringing them to a place of supernatural rest. I hear the Holy Spirit saying there is a rest for the people of God…For out of that supernatural rest, there will come healing, wellness, wholeness, financial blessing, restoration of marriages, revelation, discernment, new beginnings, peace, tranquility, safety, assurance, joy, contentment, while society lives in fear, the people of God will enter into a supernatural rest. After [all] His house is called a house of prayer, His house will be known as a house of rest. People will come into the sanctuary just to rest. I hear the Holy Spirit saying that He desires for his children to enter into that rest and then declare that their house -their home- will be a house of rest. Nothing will be able to enter that does not use the password-rest. He’s looking for those who will enter into His rest. That supernatural rest. Those who need to relax, refrsh, recover, inactivity in order to regain strength, let up, slow down, take a break… rest rest rest-supernatural rest. The word is rest.”
Another Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “BE with Me.“
Beloved, step into your closet and shut the door. Take a moment to exhale and pause and just rest in Me. Inhale and receive My love, My rest, My refreshing. Resist the urge to allow yourself to be pulled so many directions that you have nothing left and are running on empty. Remember I AM your source. I AM always right here – with you and waiting – ready to fill you and refresh you. Take that moment to pause and just BE with Me. I will meet you there.
Another Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “Rest Well.“
Leviticus 25:4 (NIV) But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the LORD. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.
Beloved, inactivity does not mean purposelessness. Rest has purpose, and it is deeply necessary. Everything I have created requires pause – room to breathe, a moment to refresh. Resist the urge to find this time wasteful.
Just as healing often takes place below the surface and out of view of the natural eye and yet its effects become known over time, so rest brings life when rightly paired with times of activity – both are essential. So be intentional with your pauses and rest well even as you labor well.
A final Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “Carry an Atmosphere of Peace.“
Psalm 5:3 (AMP) In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].
Make time to meet with Me, beloved. Come sit with Me. Wait on Me. Listen for My voice. Start your day with a pause. Allow My shalom – the peace that wars against chaos – to settle in your heart and mind. Start your day in that place of quiet, tuned into My frequency. Learn to find that place quickly and stay there.
Carry that quiet with you throughout your day. The enemy will seek to shatter it, but hold fast to it and to Me. It is your Inheritance, it belongs to you and is your right. He cannot take it away, only you can release it. So don’t let go. Hold fast and walk in peace, shifting the atmosphere around you to align with that peace rather than aligning to its chaos. Find Me in that place and hold on tight, I AM with you always.
You create an atmosphere of rest. Creating a space for those who need His shalom. As you’ve downloaded from Him, so you share the peace of the Lord with others. You’ve sat before the Lord, being a place for Him to dwell – a resting place for His Spirit – and as a carrier of His presence, you bring that peace with you. That peace that wars against chaos, so as you walk into the world, you shift the atmosphere – literally bringing His peace and a sense of His rest. Be generous with what you’ve been given, and be mindful to guard it and not to allow the enemy to steal it from you. Rest in His peace.
The lyrics from Misty Edwards’ “Resting Place” are connected to this piece. “Here Oh Lord, Have I prepared for You a home. Long have I desired for You to dwell, Here Oh Lord, Have I prepared a resting place. Here Oh Lord I wait for You alone.” The name of the silk hidden in this image is Peaceful Beauty. The colors in it are peach representing heart of flesh, cream representing milk and honey, and cranberry representing flawless (Song of Solomon 4:7).
Father, may we be strong in Your peace. May the rest we find in Your presence gird us up with such a strong sense of peace nothing can shake it. May we gift that peace to others by letting it flow through us, being your ambassador of peace in a world that knows much chaos.
Note: The word that goes with this piece was expanded in February 2019.
This is beautiful!
