The Visitation represents a heavenly ambassador visiting us in this realm – a messenger from the Lord; angelic visitation.
“The angel of the Lord [angelic spokesperson for God, sometimes identified with the Lord himself] came and sat down under the oak tree at Ophrah that belonged to Joash, one of the Abiezrite people… Gideon, Joash’s son, was separating some wheat from the chaff [threshing/beating out wheat] in a winepress to keep the wheat from the Midianites [in a pit hidden from sight]. The angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, “The Lord is with you, mighty [courageous] warrior!””Judges 6:11-12 (EXB)
“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2 (ESV)
As you seek the Lord, Beloved, He will send His angels to minister to you and meet with you. Carriers of His presence, of His healing, of His love. Touches from heaven. In the bible we read about visitations like these repeatedly, and yet too many in modern day fail to keep themselves open to such heavenly encounters. It’s easy to shut down and say it won’t happen and, in a way, falsely empowering that notion when we get to be “right” about it. But you refuse to close yourself off from anything the Lord would bring to you. You’ve chosen to strengthen your spiritual senses, not just your natural ones. So as you seek Him (for only He is worthy of such pursuit), He will meet you in a variety of ways including angelic visitations. {sensing} The visitation. The waters of refreshing lapping at your feet, the flow of the Spirit swirling around you. The rustling of the flutter of angelic wings, a gentle breeze – the breath of God, wind of the Spirit – warm across your cheek. He is with you. He is here, along with His heavenly hosts, waiting on you – it’s your move. Let your spirit reach out to Him – straining to shift your senses from your natural ones to your spiritual ones. Flow with Him , within His plans and by His counsel, move with Him. Rest in His direction. This is a visitation. He is here.
