Apple of His Eye

Apple of His Eye represents God’s unwavering gaze fixed on His beloved – His cherished one, the apple of His eye.

Beloved, My eyes are fixed on you, I cannot get enough. My thirst for you is unquenchable. I will never grow tired of you or find you commonplace or dull. You are magnificent. My pearl of great price. The apple of My eye. The center of My world.

You are never a bother or an inconvenience. Everything that matters to you, matters to Me because YOU matter to Me. You are irreplaceable, priceless, My heart’s desire. I cannot get enough. There’s no need to temper your thoughts or affections, I want it all. I long for you in a way that will never be sated. You are everything to Me.

See yourself as the cherished one that you are in My eyes.  Only when you see yourself from that view can you began to operate as Mine.  I have seen you from the very beginning and in your worst moments I did not turn away.  I was there wiping those tears away with My own hand, and pleading with you to seek Me for reassurance.  You are more important to Me than the majestic angels or the brightest star.  I know every part of you – even those areas you try to hide away.  Knowing all those things about you, does not for one second stop or halt My great love for you.  In fact, I love you more and more as time goes on. Each time you seek Me about something, I’m thrilled for a chance to commune with you.  I love you so much that I gave of Myself (in My Son) to restore the relationship that was lost so long ago in the Garden.  

Take a moment and think of how much I love and cherish you. What I was willing to do to bridge the gap between us.  The times we have together mean so very much to Me. 

I am not a distant Father. I desire to be with you. I long to hold you close, and to always protect you. My eyes seek you out daily, and I take great delight in what I see.  Your heart moving toward Mine and becoming like one.  Even if no human ever tells you how much you are loved on this earth, know deep in your heart you are truly loved and I am the one who loves you like no one can. Daily I bring little and big reminders all around to let you know I see you. You are valued, you are loved, and most of all you are cherished!

Beloved, one who is loved need not walk in fear. So allow your heart to overflow with joyous trust as you rest yourself in Me. Know that I will always do what is right, and I AM faithful to you. I AM El Aman – the faithful God, and I delight in My beloved. 

So fix your heart on Me, and refuse to be dismayed. No storm or trial is enough to pull you from My gaze. My eyes are ever on you – you are beautiful to Me. I AM forever steadfast. So find your foundation in Me.

The second Prophetic Nugget is called “Take Delight in Me.”

Psalm 37:4 (TPT) Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most.

Beloved, take delight in Me – the lover of your soul. Make Me your holy obsession, and trust the rest to Me. Pursue Me like the greatest of rewards. Seek Me like the choicest of treasures. Fill your heart and mind so full of Me that nothing can distract your gaze. 

I delight in blessing My beloved. Just as a surprise gift from your best friend is uncannily perfect for you – even when you had not even voiced the desire it, so I long to bless you in large ways and small with the things I know that will touch your heart. Simply focus on Me, and leave Me to know your desires and to meet them in My perfect timing.

The third Prophetic Nugget is called “Trust, Yield, and Obey.”

Psalm 37:5 (TPT) Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!

Beloved, cede control to Me. You don’t need to worry – not about choices, decisions, or plans, for I have a plan for you and it exceeds expectations, so trust in Me. 

Free yourself from the obligation of all the options that lay before you, and simply ask Me. Trust that I will lead you in the way that you should go. Trust, yield, and obey, beloved. For I AM faithful to the end.

The fourth Prophetic Nugget is called “You are Seen by Me.”

Psalm 37:6 (TPT) He will appear as your righteousness, as sure as the dawning of a new day. He will manifest as your justice, as sure and strong as the noonday sun.

Beloved, you are seen by Me. Trust that I AM your defender and I AM your light. I bring forth justice for My children – My eye is ever upon them. I AM your righteousness, YHVH Tsidkenu – the Lord your righteousness. 

You are the apple of My eye. Think you that I would stand idly by as you are accused or besmirched? Never. If it seems I hold My peace, trust that it is for a reason. You are never unseen or ignored, beloved, for you are precious to Me.

The fifth Prophetic Nugget is called “Stir the Hope Within You.”

Psalm 37:7 (TPT) Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you. And don’t think for a moment that the wicked in their prosperity are better off than you.

Beloved, stir the hope within you, and know I AM ever near. I will not leave you lonely, nor desert you when you are in need of My hand. I see you. I AM with you. Keep your heart steadfast in faith. 

Refuse to waste time in comparison, looking to see with earthly eyes and human understanding where My focus seems to be. Rather trust My heart towards you is steadfast and good, and know that I AM trustworthy and true. Encourage yourself in your faith as you put your hope in Me.

The sixth Prophetic Nugget is called “Trust My Sovereignty.”

Psalm 37:8-9 (TPT) Stay away from anger and revenge. Keep envy far from you, for it only leads you into lies. For one day the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will live safe and sound with blessings overflowing.

Beloved, hold fast to your heart of forgiveness. Be steadfast in gratitude. Refuse the traps of resentment and greed, instead resting in a place of contentment as you trust My sovereignty. 

For those who trust in Me will not be put to shame. No, they live safely wrapped in My loving arms – resting in the shadow of My wings. My blessings overtake them, and they rise up as if on eagle’s wings. How sweet the sleep of those who dwell with Me.

{Eyes filled with wonder I respond} I don’t know how. How can I receive something I feel incapable of deserving? It feels like too much. 

{With a kind smile He replies} It serves no purpose to reject it. It simply wastes the gift being given. Like a cool glass of water on a hot day, leaving it sitting in the glass to evaporate won’t quench your thirst nor will it benefit anyone else, and it wastes the effort of having retrieved it. So open your heart and let My love overflow and refresh. Let it bring healing to the dry and cracked places in your heart. I AM beholding you, and I find you beautiful. I have called you My own. You are Mine, so receive.

Beloved, never question your importance to Me. For you are My cherished one – the apple of My eye – more precious than the finest gold, more prized than the rarest pearl. None can shift My gaze from you, nor steal My love so true. 

Rest yourself in the pools of My love – the depths so deep they cannot be plumbed. My heart is unchanging and ever true, My cherished one – My love. So saturate yourself in Me, and float upon My waves, for nothing sweeter can you find than being lost in My embrace.

Father, thank You that You so cherish Your beloved. May we fully understand Your love for us, and allow it to color how we see ourselves. May we learn to cherish ourselves and one another knowing how loved we are by You. May we truly be known by our love.
