Potent Connection

Potent Connection represents the divine connections Father places in your life – your tribe (or herd) so to speak. The word potent is defined as having or wielding force, authority or influence. These Godly connections give and bring all of that, and it is done for your benefit and for His glory.

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NLT)

“Where there is no [wise, intelligent] guidance, the people fall [and go off course like a ship without a helm], But in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory.” Proverbs 11:14 (AMP)

“I’ll whistle and they’ll all come running. I’ve set them free—oh, how they’ll flourish!” Zechariah 10:8 (MSG)

In this image, the rainbow represents the promise of these divinely-mandated friendships as well as them being from among every nation and tongue. The horses being all one color to represent unity not sameness. Each individual in your “tribe” is gifted with unique talents, wisdom and experiences, and each contributes to the whole. This image is both a promise of these connections and a reminder they are from God.

These friendships are like the one 1 Samuel 18:1-3 describes of Jonathon and David where He “knit” their souls and created a deep and lasting love between them. And like those two, these connections war together, unite together, bring each other strength, minister to one another, protect each other, provide for each other, and cover one another.

{feeling} This is depicting Divine connections. Those connections that only Father can make. And when we heed His whistle, He joins us with others for His purposes. Some connections are for a season, some a life time. Just as He desires a flourishing and ever increasing relationship with us, so too does He desire to connect us with those He has chosen. These Divine connections, the other people He has placed in your life, are important. As we honor them, He will honor our obedience. They are valuable, a treasure, and should be esteemed as such. This does not mean they are more important than Father, and your relationship with Him. It does mean it is an opportunity for you to learn balance, friendship, covenant, and so many other wonderful things.

Father, help us to esteem those You have and will place in our lives with the same esteem and value that You have placed on them. Help us to see how precious a gift a Divine connection, a God chosen friend is. Help us to remember that You, who knows the end from the beginning, always has our best interest at heart.

May each of us come to know You, Father, and the Son, and Holy Spirit in the intimacy of prayer. May we understand Your perspective and come into a daily, continual relationship with You. May the fire of Your glorious love burn forever brightly on the altar of our hearts. Amen!
