The PraiseMoves set is about honoring the temple – our body.

We see the breath of God blowing through the “temple” – bringing life – as Laurette (representing one willing to honor the temple God’s given) moves into positions that both stretch her body as well as offer praise to Him.

The positions we see being taken are (from left to right starting with the four in in PraiseMoves I):

  • Half Harp (preparation for David’s harp) – Psalm 108:2-3 “Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.”
  • Pushing Up the Tent – (a variation of The Tent posture) Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes”
  • Prayer Warrior (variation) – James 5:16 “Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”
  • The Bell – Psalm 126:3 NIV “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy”
  • Star (variation) – Daniel 12:3 “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.”
  • The Angel Guide – Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?”
  • The Angel Bow (the one in the front) – Philippians 2:10-11 “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those in heaven, and those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”
  • The Chair (the one in the back) – Luke 14:11 “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted
  • The Dove – Matthew 3:16 “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him”

Hanging between the columns is a PraiseMoves scarf, whose colors are:

  • Golden Yellow representing joyful praise
  • Coral representing contrite heart
  • White representing overcoming
  • Turquoise representing healing
  • Purple representing promises of God
  • Red (paint) representing blood of Jesus

This scarf’s design has yellow (joyful praise) and coral (contrite heart) at the center and flowing out is turquoise (healing) surrounded by white (overcoming). Finally, a dove (representing the Holy Spirit) in red (the blood of Jesus) ushers in the purple (promises of God).

The verse that goes with this scarf is from 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

And the verse that goes with the PraiseMoves ministry as well as these pieces is the next verse (1 Corinthians 6:20), “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”

I pray that you would go forth and glorify God in your body and spirit – praise Him as you move!
