Wings of the Spirit

Wings of the Spirit reminds us life is found as we rest in the Spirit, and power comes as we soar on its wings and are directed by its flow.

• Matthew 3:16-17 (VOICE) Jesus emerged from His baptism; and at that moment heaven was opened, and Jesus saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him, alighting on His very body. Beloved, yield to My flow. Allow My Spirit to move you into position – even (and perhaps especially) when you don’t know where that is supposed to be. You don’t need to be in control, or insist on understanding all My leadings before you’ll submit. On the contrary, true faith is trusting Me without fully understanding. Trusting that I will tell you what you need to know and will lead you where you need to go.

My Ruach HaKodesh – Holy Spirit – My breath, My wind – can be trusted to bring life, to lead, to heal, to renew, and so much more. So trust in Me. Yield and flow. Ride the currents of My breath and allow the wind of the Spirit to carry you – as if on wings – where you need to be.

Make these corpses come alive.” So I did what God told me to do: I prophesied to the breath. As I was speaking, breath invaded the lifeless. The bodies came alive and stood on their feet. I realized then I was looking at a great army.

Beloved, I know that there are moments when you feel intimidated by the call on your life or measure of the gifts I have given you. When fear tempts you to hold back what I have placed inside you, remember My purpose for raising you up. I lift you up that others may be drawn to the Light of My Spirit within you. 

I have imparted My Spirit, the gifts, and the offices for the building up of the Body. When each member embraces their role and does their part, it opens the door for My will to be made manifest in the earth. From this perspective, not one of you is insignificant or useless. In fact, each of you is a vital part of My Kingdom plan.

I stir you up now to arise and not hold back what I have placed inside you. Let your light shine and let your testimony be heard. Watch as I draw those to you who need the same healing, comfort, and truth that I have given to you. Build them up as I have built you up. Raise them up as I am now raising you up. Arise, and build up the Body.

Ephesians 4:11-12 (VOICE) It was the risen One who handed down to us such gifted leaders—some emissaries, some prophets, some evangelists, as well as some pastor-teachers— so that God’s people would be thoroughly equipped to minister and build up the body of the Anointed One.

1 Corinthians 14:12 (VOICE) It’s the same with you; in your passion for spiritual gifts, seek to strengthen the community of believers, and you will all be better off.

So listen, and trust Me to lead. My sheep know My voice, and the nudging of My Holy Spirit is known to them. In love, obey. Then watch as life bursts forth and I bring you from glory unto glory, for you are Mine.

As I have guided you to this new place in your life, know with certainty that I have already provided for you here. Indeed, My Spirit is your provision. 

Therefore, when you feel lost, afraid, or overwhelmed, still yourself and remember that I am with you. At times, I will move in your circumstances or move through others to be your support. At other times, the gift of My Spirit within you will be available to empower and guide you. So in your moments of weakness and need, lean upon Me. Naturally and supernaturally, I will be there to supply all your needs. 

Philippians 4:19 (TPT) I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!

My breath can part seas – bringing dry land where water once flowed deep. Think you that I cannot breath life and change in you as well? Receive My breath of life over you and all the things concerning you. Be not afraid of the change My wind may bring, for though life may bring change, when it comes from Me you know it will be for the good.

Beloved child, you know well that I am the source and giver of your life. Your life-path is designed to be challenging so that you will continually prosper in new levels of spiritual maturity. However, your life was never meant to be burdensome. Yes, as you are faithful with the little I will entrust you with more. And with each spiritual increase, the expansion that I set before you may seem overwhelming and, at times, far outside of your power to handle. However, I never give you more than you can handle when you are willing to draw upon the strength provided by My Spirit.

You were not made to walk this life alone, forced to draw upon the resources of the fleshly and natural realm. You are born of the Spirit, and, as My child, I delight to give you everything you need. Therefore, come, beloved, abide fully in My grace. Resist the urge to let pride keep you in a state of independence. Instead, open your heart to receiving the help that you need. I will not make you feel ashamed in your weakness; indeed, I delight to lift you up and empower you so that you might flourish!

Therefore, trust My Spirit-wind to lift you and provide the support and strength beneath your wings of faith. I am faithful to carry you everywhere you need to go, and I will surely equip you for the great work I have called you to. Remain in life-union with Me, beloved, and allow My love to lift you.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMPC) The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).

John 14:16-18 (NKJV) And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Beloved, I have chosen you, and made a covenant with you. My Word is as bedrock – stable and steadfast, so trust Me to be your firm foundation. Keep My promises ever in your mind’s eye, for if I have said it, it is as good as done. 

Walk with confidence, as one who trusts the One in whom they’ve put their hope. For I AM faithful and true. My promises are yes and amen. And I AM good. Therefore you know you walk secure.

Know that your life is more than just ordinary routines. You think in the way of this world, but there is so much more when you expand your thinking outside the realm of this world. It’s not bad to have a schedule of things to do, but I’m asking you to be open to have your schedule completely turned upside down – to be willing to seek Me in all things and let Me guide you. If you will but let Me guide you, then even the mundane tasks can turn into encounters in My realm.

Each person you pass on the way of “doing life” can be divinely aligned for a purpose. If you but look at it through the lens of expectation, it can be a joyful ride. You will be a recipient to receive.  A lesson to be learned, a thing to celebrate, a blessing for the giver and the receiver. 

If you will but take a moment to breathe Me into the situation – ask Me and be willing to listen when I speak,  the encounters will break up the mundane. I created you to live life to fullness, not to just go through the motions. There is so much more that we together can partner to bring forth.  There can be some challenging bumpy roads ahead, but oh, if you but walk this way – what treasures may we unearth together.  Some hidden jewels, some manna fresh from heaven awaits you, just begging to be found. Seek out the treasures my child.

Beloved, My Spirit can be gentle, but never mistake it for being weak. True strength comes not simply from power, but also understanding what is needed – whether it be a roar of wind or a gentle breeze – and bringing exactly what is necessary for impact.

So yield to My flow, whether I move in great strength or in tenderness. Yield to Me, and rest in My perfect judgement – My assessment of need, for I see that which you do not. So trust Me and surrender to My flow.

Acts 2:2-4 (TPT) Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!

You are unrestrained. No longer can sin and bondage weigh you down. For your praise brings you to the highest of heights as you press in to My presence. So soar upon wings of love as you rest in My Spirit and rejoice.
