Come to the River beckons us to the streams from the river that make glad. It calls us to the place of safety and refreshing where we can heal and flourish. And though He has made a place for us, we must choose to go, choose to abide.

  • Psalm 1:3 (VOICE) You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun . No matter what you do, you prosper.
  • Psalm 46:4 (VOICE) A pure stream flows—never to be cut off— bringing joy to the city where God makes His home, the sacred site where the Most High chooses to live.
  • Psalm 46:4 (TPT) God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places.
  • Psalm 46:4 (NIV) There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
  • Psalm 1:1-3 (TPT) What delight comes to those who follow God’s ways! They won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat. Their pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in his true revelation of light. They will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of their lives. They are never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.

A Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It is called “Flourish.”

Psalm 18:2 (TPT) You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet, like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm fortress, my mountain of hiding, my pathway of escape, my tower of rescue where none can reach me. My secret strength and shield around me, you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside, always the champion of my cause.

Beloved, I AM your firm foundation, your covering and protector, the One who nourishes your soul. Abide in Me. Rest in Me. Like a tree planted by rivers of living water, I will refresh you and give you life abundantly as you tarry with Me. May your roots go deep.

Trust that My covering will protect you from the harshness of your environment, and know that My Son’s rays will warm you and coax forth life. I declare that you will flourish, and My word will never return void, it accomplishes all it sets out to do. Flourish, beloved. Covered in My love and watered by My Spirit, flourish.

Martha Munizzi’s “Always Welcome” is connected to this. This song reminds us that the door to deep fellowship and connection with God is always open. It also emphasizes that God welcomes us, deeply desires for us to seek Him as our resting place.

Self care is not selfishness, it is stewardship over the Father’s treasure that is you! Sleep, exercise, good food, and emotional/spiritual refreshing are not luxuries- but the Father’s gifts!! Denying these gifts is denying the provision for your purpose.

In just the same way, it is not selfish to set time aside for yourself to draw close to God. Ministering to the needs of your fellow brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ should never be out of balance with the time that you need to take receiving from the King. No matter how long you’ve been in the faith, your invitation to sit at the Master’s feet is always open. When you are feeling parched and weary in soul, do not allow guilt, shame, or fear to hold you back from running into His Presence. Trust that when you need to take time for refreshing, the Holy Spirit will send another to minister to that need in your place.

{sensing} God highlighting the story of Dorcas (or Tabitha) in Acts 9:36-42. In this story Dorcas has a ministry making clothing for widows in the community. Then she becomes ill and dies. The community is so devastated they send for Peter and he ends up raising her from the dead. Due to this miracle many people become believers in that community.

People that have been pouring themselves out in their community are becoming ill, worn out, and burnt out. God is calling them into a time of refreshment and restoration. A renewal of their anointing so they can continue in the call God has on them to reach out and serve the poor and needy in their community. The Lord doesn’t want His faithful ones to become ill and die. He wants them to live. The Lord wants to restore the faithful ones to their call. He wants to bring healing and restoration.

Just as He brought healing and restoration to Dorcas and renewed her call and brought salvation to her ministry so He wants to restore and renew you. He wants to bring fresh vision and purification to your purpose and call. He wants to renew your ministry. He wants to honor you in all you do. However you need to come back to His feet and bath in His fresh waters. You need to renew your relationship with Him.

He is calling you saying, “Come back to your first love My child, My daughter, My son. I am here waiting for you. Come renew yourself in Me. Change how you are doing things and find healing in My flow. Find healing in My salvation. It is not by works My child. It is by My grace and redemption. Choose Me. Come and sit at My feet and be renewed by Me. Come and be changed.”

A portion of a prophetic word titled “Back to the Feet of Jesus” by LaShawn Dobbs of Divine Purpose Publishing is connected to this.

This morning with Abba, I begin to hear His “heartbeat.” His heart was speaking these words “Back to the feet of Jesus.”

Then I saw many people running around, busy, busy, busy–assuming all they’re doing they’re doing it for God, but unknowingly had drifted from the place of intimacy with Jesus. Abba spoke “BACK TO THE FEET OF JESUS.”

Luke 10:38-42 (TPT)

38–39 As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. 40 But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.”

41 The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? 42 Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”

I then begin to hear Jesus calling out for Mary. The name Mary rung out across the globe, “Maryyyyyyyy.” As Jesus called out, I saw Mary appear at His feet (although one person appeared, Mary is all of us. As Jesus calls for Mary He is calling for those of us who will come, sit at His feet and listen to His words as Mary did). I then saw the face of Mary. Mary’s face was glowing and she was smiling as she sat at the feet of Jesus, listening intently as He spoke.

Another Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It’s called “Oasis of Serenity.”

Genesis 2:8-9 (VOICE) The Eternal God planted a garden in the east in Eden—a place of utter delight—and placed the man whom He had sculpted there. In this garden, He made the ground pregnant with life—bursting forth with nourishing food and luxuriant beauty…

Beloved, My heart’s desire has always been to tarry with you in the cool of the day.  To provide you with a place of restful refreshing where we might sit together and commune. Dwell with Me. Choose Me as I have chosen you. Drink from the sweet water of My Spirit and be refreshed.

In the midst of chaos, the peace of My presence carves an oasis of serenity – that deep knowing place of calm tranquility that can only be found in Me. I long for you to tarry there. The enemy would keep you hectic, creating a mental static so loud it keeps you from hearing My voice and in far too much upheaval to find rest or peace.

But beloved, shalom is the peace that wars against chaos and I AM the Prince of Peace, so find your rest in Me. Find your peace in Me. Quiet your soul and tune into Me. My children know My voice. Hear Me, beloved. Find rest and hear Me.

Psalm 23:2-3 (TPT) He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name.

Come sit with Me My child. Restore yourself in Me. I will replenish you. I will give you new vision. I will restore your heart for those in need. Come sit at My feet and hear My heart. Hear how it cries out for the wounded and broken. Hear how it cries out for you: to restore you, replenish you, feed you, give you water for your dry and thirsty land.

You are precious to Me. I do not want you spent. I do not want you empty. Be refilled and renewed in Me. Be made whole. Be restored. Then your vision will become clear. Then you can see what I am doing and join Me.

Come My beloved, sit at My feet and learn from Me. Be filled with Me. Then you may go and pour yourself out.

Return to Me continually for I am your source. I will never run dry. My beloved I am so proud of what you do but what I desire is for you to be with Me. Come see what I am doing. Come be with Me. Walk with Me. Sit with Me. Learn from Me. Then you will have My heart. My heart beats for all My children. So many have gone astray. Bring them back to My fold. Restore them to Me. My heart is for them. My heart aches for them. I am a jealous God.

Beloved be restored in Me and I will make you fishers of men. You care for My sheep. You feed My sheep. Now I am calling you to step out and find My lost sheep. You are the shepherd I have called. Renew yourself in Me. Beloved, come and be with Me and all this will come to pass.  Love forever, Abba Papa

Father, may we be restored and refreshed in Your presence. May we be mindful to choose to dwell with you, to abide in Your presence, for that is the only place true healing and life spring from. Thank You for loving us so. Thank You for covering us with Your love. Have your way and be glorified in our lives.
