The Seer (Ra’ah)

The Seer (Ra’ah) represents a seer soaring high – rightly perceiving as the currents of the Spirit lift and carry, using the discernment gifted to see what Father desires to be seen, and the wisdom gifted to know what to do with it.

1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV) Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy…
Ezekiel 8:3-4 (VOICE) He held out what looked to be a hand and seized me by the hair. The Spirit hoisted me up between heaven and earth and transported me—through a vision of God—to Jerusalem… Right in front of me was the glory of the God of Israel, just as I had seen before in the plain.
Isaiah 6:1 (TLB) The year King Uzziah died I saw the Lord! He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the Temple was filled with his glory.

The Hebrew word for seer is “ra’ah” (H7200). Some of its meanings are “to perceive, have a vision, and observe.” This word is more than just about “glancing” at something. This is a seeing that has depth and insight – revelation. “Seeing” is a type of prophetic revelation and a “Seer” is one who functions in that gifting. The eagle is often a prophetic representation of a seer.

May we all desire an increased seer anointing. It brings that strong ability to discern – rightly divide by the water of His word – the seen and unseen, right and wrong, truth and falsehoods, that which is of the spirit and that which is of the flesh. Those who operate in it speak to the heart of the Father. They come into agreement with Him and command His will into being – call forth His promises, and declare that heaven invade earth. May we all seek to operate in this gifting, and pray that all within the Body of Christ would.

As the eyes of the Father search and look throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9), He has seen you and found you faithful. Like Noah (Genesis 6:8) and Mary (Luke 1:30) who were found faithful and received grace in the eyes of God, you also have received favor and abundant blessings. Continue to keep your heart steadfast in Him and His Word, and while on your knees before Him pouring out all that is within you, hidden treasures of secret places (Isaiah 45:3) will be given to you. To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48) and He trusts you greatly with these riches.

{hearing} I Am fully-focused on you.

{vision} The eye of an eagle. The Spirit highlights the unique shape of the eagle’s eye that allows it to see in amazing detail.

An eagle’s visual acuity enables them to separate details of an object without any blur. While good human vision is 20/20, an eagle’s vision is 20/5. This is what makes them powerful hunters, able to spot prey on the ground while they are still in flight.

Father is reminding you that, by the Spirit, He has given you His “eagle eyes.” He sees every detail of life on earth—past, present, and future. Even more, He sees every detail of our lives. As the Word reminds us, even the hairs on our head are counted (Luke 12:7).

Just as the Father has clarity and insight in each situation, so He grants His seers clarity of spiritual sight by degrees. Allow the Holy Spirit to do His work, continually sharpening the power of focus in your spiritual eyes. He says there is always more, greater degrees of insight and clarity. When it comes to each upgrade, He says, “Fear not.” He will equip you and train you to master each new level of perception in the Spirit. He will teach you to see as He sees.

Beloved, don’t be taken in by the bright lights and sparkle of this world. It is all flash and glamour – an illusion, a spell intended to deceive you and make you believe there is something of substance there, of value, but there is not. Like trying to sustain life eating cotton candy, there is no true value there and it loses its appeal quickly in the face of true need.
You can develop a taste for anything. And doing so will mold your preferences. If you develop a taste for the things of this world, it is what you will crave. You may have even been raised to crave this world, but your tastes can change and you can change them intentionally.
My Word and My Kingdom were meant to sustain. They have true substance. I AM what your soul needs to be satisfied; anything else is just filler and an ineffective substitute. Develop a taste for Me.

Be watchful, beloved. Take a look at what’s around you. Notice the things that I have placed within your gaze. For they are as road signs and as a map to you. You may think it strange that I can speak through your environment or circumstances as much as I speak through My Word. However, I desire that you would come to a greater awareness of Who I Am and come to see My continual presence and power in your life. I would have you see what it means to abide in Me and I in you. For through My Spirit, which is in you, I am able to quicken your attention to the mundane and give you wisdom and insight moment by moment.
Is it not written that I will be with you and teach you the way you should go? I will be with you in trial and in rest, in misery and in joy, in lowliness and in greatness. I am with as you come and go. I am with you on your job and at home. I am with you enjoying your laughter and I am with you to hold you when you cry. I am with you when you are awake and I am with you when you are asleep. I am with you always for I am everywhere. There is no situation I am not in.
If you will seek Me in every moment, you will not only come to feel My presence with you, but you will become aware of My thoughts and intentions for each moment of your life. From this place of learning to abide in My Presence, you will come to see how My perfect, life-giving will in heaven can be released into the earth.
John 15:4 (NKJV) Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
Psalm 32:8 (NKJV) I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

Trusting that I will tell you what you need to know and will lead you where you need to go.
My Ruach HaKodesh – Holy Spirit – My breath, My wind – can be trusted to bring life, to lead, to heal, to renew, and so much more. So trust in Me. Yield and flow. Ride the currents of My breath and allow the wind of the Spirit to carry you – as if on wings – where you need to be.

Make these corpses come alive.” So I did what God told me to do: I prophesied to the breath. As I was speaking, breath invaded the lifeless. The bodies came alive and stood on their feet. I realized then I was looking at a great army.

Despite the vast knowledge at My hand and all the things, people, and situations vying for My attention, you, beloved, have captured My gaze. In the midst of it all I pause – to tend to My beloved. To encourage you in all I have called you to.
See by My actions how precious you are to Me. Hear with your heart My instructions and execute them without hesitation or concern knowing I AM with you. Don’t hold back, beloved. Shine, and shine brightly. Be all I have called you to and let yourself soar in My presence and on My wings.

Beloved, just as an eagle can see with amazing visual acuity, so My seers are able to do so with their spiritual eyes. They are able to rightly divide the holy from the profane, right from wrong, and they see underlying motivations that might be hidden from others.
I AM giving this through the power of My Holy Spirit that My children might not be lead astray when they’re seeking to follow Me. May My children have ears to hear the warnings brought by My seers, and may My seers be alert, see rightly, and share what they see in My timing at My direction.
And may all My children passionately pursue My heart, for therein lies the key to discernment. For I AM the One who sees and knows all things, and I share My thoughts and My heart with those who draw close to Me and seek to know Me more. This is where true power and vision come from.

May Your will be done. May we align with You, Your heart, and Your intentions. May we be Your willing vessels in the earth. And we ask for wisdom – not just to see rightly, but also to know when and how to speak about what we’ve seen. To You be all the glory.
