Morning Dance

Morning Dance is a visual reminder that in the seasons of hardship and mourning we must press in, dancing and lifting our praise as we await the dawn. Then our mourning dance becomes our morning dance.

  • Psalm 30:11 (GNT) You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy.
  • Psalm 126:5 (NLT) Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.

Beloved, we must persist in worshipping through the dark times. In the darkest hour, seek Him. He will meet you. Worship because He is worthy not because He does what pleases you. Giving of yourself like the widow did her mite (Luke 21:1-4), when you have nothing left spill it all out on Him. This brings forth the “breaker anointing” because He is faithful to pour out refreshing from heaven and have it spring up from the deep. He takes you from the dry places and saturates your soul with His living water. Thus our breaking dawn comes forth.

God is timeless and unchanging. We as humans live in the currents of time, where seasons and times shift and with them our mental and emotional state. From birth to death, God is our only anchor. However, we become most aware of this fact in times of loss or mourning when we fear the currents of sorrow or grief will drag us away. As long as our connection to is God strong enough they won’t. The light of dawn breaks just as we realize God’s keeping power amidst our stormy circumstances.

A word called “Dawning Hope” from Elisa Eaton of Waiting in the Wings is connected to this.

One day, the LORD dropped the word “hope” into my spirit, and He brought to mind a sunrise over the sea. “Hope is like the sunrise,” He told me. Ever since that moment, He has been steadily teaching me what it means to truly place our hope in Him.

In Hebrew, tikvah, means “hope, expectation, ground of hope, or things or an outcome hoped for”. To hope in the LORD is look to Him with expectation that He will be our answer, our captain, or our champion in any matter. We wait upon Him and Him alone to move in our circumstances. This hope is very similar to holding on through a dark and stormy night. Somehow, we know that when dawn breaks, everything will be all right. The night may be unbearably long and difficult, but we are sustained by the fact that dawn will come and with it relief. Dawn will not tarry; the sun will not change it’s mind and fail to rise. It is constant in it’s course.

Even more than the sun, our God is faithful. Whether the season of waiting we face is in our personal lives or in the larger plan for all of Creation, Yeshua (Jesus), the Son of God, will come to us right on time. The night may be unbearably long and the storm may be difficult, but God will sustain all who place their hope in Him. In the midst of that stormy night, we find that deep cries out to deep; the depths of our being cries out to the depths of God. His strength and grace carry us through the turbulence and darkness until the time comes for dawn to break.

The lyrics from Bethel’s song “Anchor” are connected to this.

In every season, in every change. You are near
In every sorrow, You are my strength. You are near
A peace in the storm. Your voice I will follow
In weakness I rise. Remembering You hold my world
I’m holding on to hope. I’m holding on to grace
I’m fully letting go. I’m surrendered to Your ways
The anchor for my soul. Father You will never change. I love You, I love You
My great Redeemer, My constant Friend. You are near
My faithful Father, You took me in. You are near
I will remember Your promise forever. My Strength, my Defender. I can count on You
You are my Savior, My Hope and my Shelter. Your love is forever. I can count on You

A Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It is called “Morning Dance.

Psalm 126:5 (TLB) Those who sow tears shall reap joy.

Beloved, I have promised and I will deliver. I AM good to My word. Rest in a place of joyful expectation, even when the night is long and the sky looks dark, know that I AM with you, My angels surround you, and I AM faithful. I watch over My word to perform it. Stand fast and believe. Let joyful expectation be your mien.

Dance, beloved – as in your mourning you expect your morning, dance, for the dawn is coming. Worship as you wait, knowing I AM faithful. Knowing I AM good. Knowing I AM with you. And knowing I AM worthy. Give praise, and give it freely and without reserve. Bring forth your mourning dance that it might become your morning dance.

Another Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It’s called “El Roi (the God Who Sees).”

Genesis 16:13 (CSB) So she named the LORD who spoke to her: “You are El-roi,” for she said, “In this place, have I actually seen the one who sees me?”

Beloved, I see you. I AM the God who sees. Nothing is beyond My notice. In the depths of despair or deepest wounding, I AM by your side. I see, and I hurt with you. My love for you is beyond measure. In moments you have been wronged, I see, and I will hold you and strengthen you. Forgive, and trust Me to deal with the situations that cause pain or frustration and the people connected to them.

Bring your heart to Me. Share your heart – with all its hurt – with Me. Let Me share in these moments with you. Remember that I have been hurt and I have been wronged. I have been accused and misunderstood. I see you, beloved, and I understand. I AM with you always. Surrender to My love.

Genesis 16:13-14 (VOICE) As a result of this encounter, Hagar decided to give the Eternal One who had spoken to her a special name because He had seen her in her misery. Hagar: I’m going to call You the God of Seeing because in this place I have seen the One who watches over me. Because of this, the well between Kadesh and Bered is called Beer-lahai-roi, which means, “Well of the Living One who watches over me.”

The song called “Even When it Hurts” from Hillsong is connected to this. The heart reflects the heart of a worshipper who refuses to be moved regardless of circumstance. The singer declares that no matter what they will sing praise and declare the supernatural character of God. Live or die, good seasons and bad, in weakness and strength, in sickness and health, regardless of circumstance they will steadfastly declare God is good. It stands as a beautiful reminder that we must be faithful and that true love isn’t dependent on circumstances but surpasses all and is unconditional.

A final Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It is called “Faithful to the End.”

Psalm 30:11 (VOICE) You did it: You turned my deepest pains into joyful dancing; You stripped off my dark clothing and covered me with joyful light.

Beloved, I AM faithful to the end. I always see you, for I AM El Roi, the God who sees. I AM equipped and fully able. I fiercely love My children. I AM devoted, and I move on your behalf. Rejoice in that victory. Give praise and honor to My name. Let the earth be filled with the sound of your joy, and may your life testify to the goodness of who I AM.

When the daylight comes and the night has passed, do not withhold your praise – not from a place of obligation, but from an overflow of love and joy. May your heart burst forth in zealous declaration that the God you serve – the only true God – is good and worthy of all praise.

The name of your silk is From Mourning to Dancing. The colors in it are golden yellow representing pursuit with intention, fire representing flaming throne of God, red wine representing the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings, fuchsia representing deep place of the heart, plum representing richness and abundance of fruit, and black representing death to self and the eye of God (the apple of His eye because His gaze is steady upon you).

Thank you Father for Your light. Thank you for Your hope. Thank you for Your truth that surrounds us in the dark and strengthens us as we release our praises to You. I pray that as these songs are lifted up, as each movement is presented to You that Your light of hope is released. May that light of hope lead us through the dark as we wait for the dawn. Thank you Father for Your goodness and mercy. May we seek Your face always.
