Come Away
November 2009 | Meghan Williams
Come Away is a call to deeper intimacy. Song of Solomon 2:1b, “Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.”
Here we see His beautiful one running to meet with her Beloved, her heart longing to be with Him. As she hastens to respond to His beckoning, she moves from the natural realm to the supernatural and into His glorious presence.
In 1 Chronicles 16:11 and Psalm 105:4 we are exhorted to, “Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His presence continually!” It is in His beautiful presence that we get lost in the wonder of Him. It is there that we are refreshed (Acts 3:19) and understand who we truly are: royalty, children of the Sovereign One, His beautiful one, a princess.
The scarf in Come Away is Warrior Princess. The colors in it are:
- Amber representing the flaming throne of God
- Turquoise representing warfare
- Mahogany Brown representing the depth of God’s love
- Bronze shimmer representing the beauty of the Lord
I pray that you would run to meet the Beloved, be engrossed in His beauty, and discover who you truly are.
