Aman (Faith) encourages us to move into deeper levels of trust with God. As He shows Himself faithful again and again, our faith is ratified? and so it grows and expands. But all that begins with us choosing to trust more.

  • Psalm 37:3 (TPT) Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness.
  • Numbers 23:19 (VOICE) God is not a man—He doesn’t lie. God isn’t the son of a man to want to take back what He’s said, Or say something and not follow through, or speak and not act on it.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:24 (VOICE) For the God who calls you is faithful, and He can be trusted to make it so.

According to Blue Letter Bible the Hebrew word “aman“ (H539) means to support, confirm, be faithful, to be established, be faithful, be carried, make firm, stand firm, to trust, to be certain, to believe in. This embodies wholehearted trust. This trust is what we have as a gift to give the Lord – one that is well deserved given His complete faithfulness to us.

A Prophetic Nugget from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It’s called “Withhold Nothing.”

Hebrews 11:17 (VOICE) By faith Abraham, when he endured God’s testing, offered his beloved son Isaac as a sacrifice. The one who had received God’s promise was willing to offer his only son;

Beloved, withhold nothing from Me. Remember all you have is from My hand. So refuse to be like a dog growling at its master’s outstretched hand as it enjoys a bone that was gifted from that very same hand. Trust all to Me. Resist the urge to guard or withhold from Me that which you hold dear.

If I instruct you in My Word not to frustrate your children, do you think I will turn around and do the opposite of what I instruct? Trust Me. I give and I take away, but I AM always working for good. Simply because I remove something doesn’t mean you’re “in trouble.” Trust that I AM working for your good.

So be passionate in your faith of Me. Withhold nothing. Demonstrate by your actions the level of belief you have in who I AM and the nature of My character. Let your unreserved faith declare Me worthy to all.

Ephesians 6:4 (NIV) Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Job 1:21 (ESV) And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

Another Prophetic Nugget from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It’s called “Faithful God (El Aman).”

1 Thessalonians 5:24 (VOICE) For the God who calls you is faithful, and He can be trusted to make it so.

Beloved, I AM El Aman, the Faithful God. I AM true to My word. I watch over it to see it fulfilled. My promises are YES and AMEN. They are settled. They are done. You can rely on Me. Others may have let you down, but beloved, I am not them. Trust Me. I will bring it to pass.

Trust requires belief, and I AM a rewarder of those who believe that I AM and who diligently seek Me. So simply keep your eyes fixed on Me. I know I say this again and again, but the world is vying for your attention and the enemy desires to distract you – pulling, pulling from every direction – so quietly, again I say, “Keep your heart and eyes fixed on Me.”

Don’t be discouraged if your gaze has shifted – simply move it back. Beloved, I would rather you choose Me over and over a hundred times a day than that you blow it once and never try again. I understand, and I love you. Fix your gaze on me and trust.

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

A portion of a post by Meghan Williams from MeghanW.com is connected to this. It’s called “Above All.”

Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith…”

As I read these words a couple days ago, the words “above all” jumped off the page at me.  Above all means more important than anything else. It means it is priority.

The Amplified says “Lift up over all…”  In Greek the words are “epi pas” which means above all or before everything else – in other words – of the utmost importance taking all priority.

Let’s think about this in the context of Ephesians 6:11-18, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

So if I am understanding this correctly – God says we are to hold faith above truth, righteousness, the gospel, salvation, the word, and even prayer!  Wow!  That’s saying a LOT! He thinks faith is important!!!

Faith is all about trusting Him.  Merriam-Webster defines faith like this:

  1. the act or state of wholeheartedly and steadfastly believing in the existence, power, and benevolence of a supreme being, of having confidence in his providential care, and of being loyal to his will as revealed or believed in : belief and trust in and loyalty to God
  2. firm or unquestioning belief in something for which there is no proof
  3. firm or unquestioning trust or confidence in the value, power, or efficacy of something

So if God holds it of such high importance, one should pause to reflect on why… I felt like He gave me some insight on that earlier today as I was interacting with a dear friend.  This friend has been let down by the people around her a LOT.  Because of that pattern she is constantly waiting for me to desert her or let her down.  As I tried earnestly to convince her that I had no plans of following that pattern – I realized we are often the same with God.

Because countless people have let us down, we sit waiting for Him to do the same and He’s like “Come on… I love you!  I sent My Son to die for you I loved you so much.   Trust Me… have faith… don’t believe every lie the enemy is trying to convince you of!”  You see without faith, we can’t stand (like verse 13 says).

I feel like He’s encouraging us – “Come on, get past this trust issue – it’s a basic – a fundamental.  There’s so much more to do, but it is the foundation of everything!”  Think about it – without faith can you actually have the helmet of salvation?  And without salvation can you have righteousness?  What good is prayer prayed without faith?  This feels like an extension of understanding His unfailing love – we just need to believe.  I don’t say that to be flip – I know full well how difficult it may seem, but we have to succeed at this to get to any of what’s next!  All this is the Substance of Faith.

Another Prophetic Nugget from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It’s called “Trust Me Unreservedly.”

Matthew 11:6 (TPT) And tell John that the blessing of heaven comes upon those who never lose their faith in me — no matter what happens!

Beloved, resist the temptation to judge My ways. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are My ways your ways. My thoughts are higher, and you need not understand to obey. Faith is trust. The foundation of your life is your faith; therefore, stand fast in your trust of Me regardless of your understanding (or lack thereof), and walk in obedience.

Move in the good work I have set before you. I will reveal each step in its time, so simply trust My Holy Spirit to lead. I AM more capable of leading than you are of messing up, so trust that as you keep your heart tender toward Me, I will always find a way to direct you. Your faith is sufficient for Me, so remain steadfast and trust Me unreservedly.

Matthew 11:2-6 (ESV) Now when John heard in prison about the deeds of the Christ, he sent word by his disciples and said to him, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?” And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

A Word called “Have Faith in My Path” from our sister-blog Waiting in the Wings is connected to this.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

When I set you on a path, beloved, remember that I am there with you to see My plans through. All that is required on your part is to walk in the power of your faith in Me. At times, you may find the journey to be difficult because you cannot see all the details of My plan. I have given you the destination, yet I alone know all the twists and turns in your journey. Walk along this course being certain that you will see My goodness. I urge you to yield your expectations over the details to Me. Instead, adopt an attitude of childlike wonder over this adventure. By doing so, you will be able to maintain your peace and security in Me.

I have not made this path needlessly complex; I have designed it with your good in mind. This path is encouraging spiritual growth within you that you do not yet see. For as you rely upon Me to take every step, I draw out the gifts of the Spirit I have placed within you. I desire to get you to your destination well-equipped for all I have in store for you.

When you feel uncertain or discouraged along this journey, pause and remind yourself that I have already ordained that you will succeed. I have commanded the blessing upon your life so that you will prosper wherever I send you. The words I have spoken over your life will not return to Me void; they will accomplish all I desire. And you too, beloved, will succeed in walking this path as I empower you by My Spirit.

Isaiah 55:11 (NLT) It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Philippians 4:13 (AMPC) I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

Another Prophetic Nugget from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It’s called “Overflow with Joyous Trust.”

Psalm 37:3 (TPT) Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness.

Beloved, one who is loved need not walk in fear. So allow your heart to overflow with joyous trust as you rest yourself in Me. Know that I will always do what is right, and I AM faithful to you. I AM El Aman – the faithful God, and I delight in My beloved.

So fix your heart on Me, and refuse to be dismayed. No storm or trial is enough to pull you from My gaze. My eyes are ever on you – you are beautiful to Me. I AM forever steadfast. So find your foundation in Me.

Another Prophetic Nugget from Daily Downloads from Heaven by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It’s called “Stay Alert.”

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (VOICE) Listen, stay alert, stand tall in the faith, be courageous, and be strong. Let love prevail in your life, words, and actions.

Beloved, stay alert. Refuse to let fear and worry take root. Stand tall in courageous faith – not in your own ability, but rather in Mine. For I AM able. Nothing is too hard for Me. And while you may think you believe that, realize doubting your own ability is doubting My ability to work through you.

So trust Me unreservedly, and live from a place of steadfast confidence in the One who made you. Love like I love, and live as I’ve called you to live. Stay alert for anything that threatens to impede that, and live strong, for you are able.

The “CULTIVATE HOPE” card from D4Yart Deck 2 is connected to this. The card is based on the “Dreaming and Rejoicing” Dyed4you Art piece, and it reads, “Allow hope to fill your heart, for you have a choice whether to cultivate your faith or feed your doubts – so choose to believe. Choose to believe things happen “for” you rather than simply “to” you. Rest in the beauty of your inner landscape, and trust that all is well.”

A final Prophetic Nugget from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It’s called “Trust Implicitly.”

Psalm 138:7 (VOICE) Whenever I walk into trouble, You are there to bring me out. You hold out Your hand to protect me against the wrath of my enemies, and hold me safely in Your right hand.

Beloved, as you follow the road of life, trust that I know what is behind each bend and beyond each corner. For I know the beginning from the end, and the whole of the journey in between. So trust Me to lead.

Just as you trust implicitly in a map or GPS if you are traveling in an unknown area, so you should have that same unreserved faith in Me. Have enough faith to rely even when you do not know or understand where you are headed. Trust that I will not lead you astray.

And rather than spend the journey fretting about what is to come, focus on enjoying the ride. Relax as you allow Me to lead, and remember to enjoy the sights and sounds along the way.

A crystalline affirmation from Meghan Williams is connected to this. It reads in first person so it can become your declaration. It’s called “Divinely Led Inner Wisdom.”

I trust my innate wisdom. I refuse to second guess myself or go into analysis paralysis, but rather I simply trust my intuition. For I am confident my inner knowing is divinely led, and I trust in my Creator’s ability to correct my course even if I do step amiss.

{Artist note} As I began pondering this piece I immediately sensed dark, mysterious… almost how when you walk through a dark but familiar room you do so trusting everything is as expected, and you move with confidence. But dark requires trust. Next I felt a bird and heard hawk, which is interesting because they’re described as “keen-eyed and efficient hunters.” Keen-eyed, able to hone in, but also this has to do with vigilance. Watching our thoughts to ensure we are staying rooted in trust – in what is “good, perfect, and true.”

Next I felt arms raised in surrender – again an act of trust. I saw rock at the base and heard “bedrock” – a firm foundation. And finally I sensed the full armor, as if once everything else had happened, only then are you truly prepared – truly equipped.

Father, we choose to trust You. We choose to be people of strong faith – to reflect back the steadfastness that You model so perfectly to us. We believe, Lord, but help us in our unbelief.
