Altar of Praise depicting our offering of praise received on His altar, and the heavenly response as we pour out our worship and praise.

  • Leviticus 6:13 (YLT) fire is continually burning on the altar, it is not quenched.
  • Psalm 141:2 (JUB) Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the gift of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
  • Luke 19:37-40 (AMP) As soon as He was approaching [Jerusalem], near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the entire multitude of the disciples [all those who were or claimed to be His followers] began praising God [adoring Him enthusiastically and] joyfully with loud voices for all the miracles and works of power that they had seen, shouting, “Blessed (celebrated, praised) is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory (majesty, splendor) in the highest [heaven]!” Some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples [for shouting these Messianic praises].” Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these [people] keep silent, the stones will cry out [in praise]!”

How long will your praise be? When your tongue is dry will you still sing My truth? When your hands are tired will you still play My praises? When you no longer have an audience will your songs of Me cease? When the buildings of man crumble around you, will you continue to worship Me? When I tear away the crutches of flesh and leave you with nothing but dirt and My spirit, will your lips still move with melodies of My goodness? I AM enduring, I AM the unquenchable flame. Will you burn or abide in Me?

Do not open your mouth with My name on your lips for accolades for yourself lest you reap what you sow. My songs when sung with a humbled spirit will sustain and give life. Even broken and weak, worship Me. Sing Me your heart and then profess My promises. This is a more precious resource than power or riches. It is a provision of unending strength that can break yokes, call down nations, and raise a remnant. Remember these things before you utter My praise. Your rising praise has created a crescendo of worship. And from this high place, you will move from peak to peak, and glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

A Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It is called “Pour Out From Your Overflow.”

Psalm 33:2 (VOICE) Worship the Eternal with your instruments, strings offering their praise; write awe-filled songs to Him on the 10-stringed harp.

Beloved, use whatever is at your disposal to make a joyful noise. I AM less concerned with proficiency than heart, so simply pour out from your overflow the joy and worship you have for Me, may your love shine forth on words and notes so sweet unto My ear. May your praise be a fragrant offering and your worship as incense before My throne.

Make your praise glorious, worthy of the King of Kings. Like the widow’s mite, your all will be enough – you and your praise will be accepted when offered with clean hands and a pure heart. Ascend the heights with Me, beloved, lost in the glory of My praise. Watch life and joy pour forth as the flame on the altar burns brightly.

Psalm 66:1-2 (ASV) Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth: Sing forth the glory of his name: Make his praise glorious.

{our prayer}

Abba, I pray that who hears this word, who sings Your praise, who declares Your glory in good times and bad, in sickness and health, in poverty or wealth will see Your deliverance come. As they worship at Your altar they will know that You sing over them in delight. May they know Your love and forgiveness. May they receive Your healing and grace. Thank you Abba for your precious touch as we come to the altar to praise You.
