Hidden in Him embodies the moment where though chaos is trying to reign, we’ve instead chosen to hide in Him and allow Him to protect us as He has promised.

“He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.” Psalm 91:4 AMP

“…I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand…” Exodus 33:22 ESV
We all struggle with feeling small and scared at times, and in those moments (as with all the others) God wants us to run to Him. Like any good father, our Father loves to comfort and protect us. He hides us in places of safety: strong tower, protected by His hand and rock, under His wings, covered by his pinions (feathers), like a wall and shield, by the Blood – His desire is to see us safe from the enemy. Encircled, protected, cherished. Small, but safe.
This image feels messy and chaotic because that’s how we so often feel – completely overwhelmed, beyond our own capabilities – but God meets us in that place. He surrounds us. He is Olam Zerowa, the Everlasting Arms. He has promised never to leave or forsake us. We run to our Abba Father like a child seeks protection from their good earthly father. Abba’s protection brings shalom (peace) regardless of circumstance. Seek refuge in Him.

Father, thank You for being faithful and strong. Thank You for being our rock, fortress, strength – a very present help in trouble. Present. Never leaving or forsaking – regardless of the mess, regardless of any attack, regardless of whoever’s fault it is – You are there for us when we seek refuge and hide in You.
