ActiveDuty_SMActive Duty depicts one who is backed by the LORD and His heavenly hosts as he wields his sword – the word of God – in spiritual battle. He is prepared, ready, and now active.

“The word of God, you see, is alive and moving; sharper than a double-edged sword; piercing the divide between soul and spirit, joints and marrow; able to judge the thoughts and will of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (VOICE)

“Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;” Psalms 144:1 (ESV)

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMPC)

Mighty, holy warrior, you have been in a season of training and preparation. Now you are being called to active duty. Will you answer the call to war? Will you accept the Lord’s call to battle?  What you have trained for is before you. You are well prepared and well able to take all He has given you.  And He has promised to be YHVH Nissi, the LORD your banner – your miracle, your victory.  You will never face a challenge, a battle, or war alone. HE always goes with you, and He will bring others alongside you to assist you. Watch for those of like heart and spirit who will intersect your path.

Father, thank You for Your faithful preparation. Thank You for Your word and Your spirit which teach us and prepare us for war against the enemy of our souls and those who do his bidding. Thank You that You go before us and are our rear guard. Thank You that in You we are victorious!
