Strong in the Lord

Strong in the Lord depicts what happens in the spiritual realm around each one of us.

Ephesians 6:10-12, “A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”

Here we see our everyday man equipped with his sword (representing the armor in Ephesians 6). His eyes are fixed on the cross – not daunted by the battle before him. The enemy is asserting himself while angelic hosts come to battle on the man’s behalf.

Just to his right is the scarf in this image which is called is Breakthrough. The colors in it are:

  • Earthy red representing apple of His eye
  • Amber representing the Father’s heavenly care
  • Mahogany brown representing depth of God’s love
  • White representing triumph

Just beyond the breakthrough is a rainbow signifying the promises of God, and an open heaven lies beyond.

Lord, help us to remember to keep our eyes stayed on You, to cloth ourselves in the armor You’ve given, to be strong in You, and to remember the battle is raging in the unseen realm rather than the visible. Thank You for the promised victory!

This piece is so moving. He’s waging war. Looking forward. Not backing up. His eyes on the cross. Yes!

I’m in a storm right now. The enemy is using issues concerning my son to cause me to be frustrated and depressed. But greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world! I know that this is spiritual warfare because it doesn’t make sense. But I am determined to trust in God no matter what. I put on the full armor of God and I proclaim God’s goodness every morning before the sun rises. God will see us through I know this because my Big Brother Jesus Christ defeated satan over 2000 years ago! Jesus said it is finished! I have the victory.

God bless you Meghan. May you continue to be His vessel.

A reminder, to stay in His abilities (not our own) and keep the armour (He has supplied) on at all times. To insure our Victory! He has made us more than conquerers through Christ Jesus.
