Reclaiming the Heart

December 2009 | Warrior Series

Reclaiming the Heart is a war cry to reconquer territory invaded by the enemy.

We see here a warrior – deep in the catacombs of his own heart, flanked by heavenly hosts and accompanied by the Lord – fearlessly moving forward to retake territory stolen by the enemy.

So that no lies can overtake him, a reminder of our warrior’s true identity hangs on the wall, the scarf called Righteous Warrior, whose colors are:

  • White representing righteousness
  • Ox blood red representing living sacrifice
  • Mahogany brown representing a warrior’s heart (which comes from Psalm 149:3-7 where it speaks of having praise in your mouth and a sword in your hand)

The verse that goes with the scarf is from Judges 6:12, “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.”

I pray that you would allow the Lord to take you into the catacombs of your own heart and reclaim any territory where the enemy has attempted a stronghold. Your heart is precious to the Lord and He desires all of it and will give you all you need to fully conquer any enemy holds.

I saw this art piece on your ecards and it took my breath away. I had a spiritual warfare dream several years ago that looked so much like this. This is SO powerful to look at. I keep coming back to your sight just to see it again. In my dream, my sword was a hot pink highlighter.
