A while back I shared\u00a0How-To Receive a Prophetic Word<\/a>, and on our sites we talk about the letters (prophetic words) that come with our silk and art and the fact that they are supposed to be a portion of a conversation with God, not an entire conversation in and of themselves. These prophetic pieces are intended to facilitate conversation with God, add a dimension to interactions that are hopefully already occurring, or begin conversation if none is. Ultimately, relationship with Him is what we all should be working on and trying to strength and deepen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I found the following on the site of a ministry called\u00a0Prophetic Light<\/a><\/strong>. I\u00a0love<\/strong>\u00a0this ministry and the fruit coming from it. The words\u00a0June Reinke<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(the founder) releases have\u00a0repeatedly ministered to me personally as well as many of you when we’ve quoted prophetic words released by her in the silk and art letters. I share that to give some context about the author<\/a>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

As I read what she shared on\u00a0What is Prophesy?<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0I realized she’s captured thoughts that we’ve shared in bits and pieces and put it together into a clear, concise explanation that I think is helpful to note, and it compliments our explanation of\u00a0how-to receive a prophetic word<\/a>\u00a0very\u00a0well, so I wanted to share it with you.<\/p>\n

Word from the Lord<\/h3>\n

It is a Word from the Lord that encourages, uplifts, comforts and exhorts.\u00a0 Logos is the written Word (Bible) and prophesy is the Rhema Word, a now Word that speaks to your potential in Christ.\u00a0 Most often there will be conditions that have to be met for the prophetic Word to be fulfilled, contained in the prophesy.<\/p>\n

  • Prophecy\u00a0can<\/strong>\u00a0contain the Word of knowledge about person\u2019s, places or things.<\/li>\n
  • It\u00a0can<\/strong>\u00a0contain the gift of discerning of spirits, which is seeing the heart of a person that is given personal prophecy..<\/li>\n
  • It is\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0automatic, It is and remains your responsibility in what degree of obedience you walk with the Lord<\/li>\n
  • Prophecy\u00a0never<\/strong>\u00a0condemns, criticizes or judges.<\/li>\n
  • Prophecy does\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0tell a person what to do, such as go to Africa, get married to a certain person, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The prophet is\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0to dictate, control or manipulate others with the gift.\u00a0 What\u00a0you<\/strong>\u00a0do with\u00a0the Word that you have been given will determine its fulfillment in\u00a0your<\/strong>\u00a0own life.\u00a0 Always let the Holy Spirit lead you in this. Be led by His calmness and in His calmness.<\/p>\n

    The received word should at all times be checked with the written word: the Bible. Prophecy can\u00a0never<\/strong>\u00a0be in contrast with the written word of God.<\/p>\n

    Prophecy is not a Christian Psychic<\/h3>\n

    Often people are looking for the kind of word that a psychic claims\u00a0to provide. This is not of God, and is not prophecy.\u00a0 Prophecy does not point out the sins and shortcomings of others.\u00a0 It does not chide.\u00a0 The Bible says (2 Chr\u00a020:20) \u201c\u2026.Believe the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.\u201d\u00a0 Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17), but you have to actively do so. A passive faith is not going to receive anything from the\u00a0Lord. So arise!\u00a0 Believe and receive the Word of the Lord through the prophet and\u00a0you will prosper\u00a0and it\u00a0will surely be fulfilled.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
