Fathomless God reminds us to fix our gaze on God and on the things of God – to be intentional with our focus and let Him captivate our hearts and minds that we might stay in a place of awe.

  • Isaiah 66:1-2 (NKJV) Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the LORD. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.
  • Psalm 111:10 (NKJV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
  • Psalms 68:32-35 (HCSB) Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; sing praise to the Lord, Selah to Him who rides in the ancient, highest heavens. Look, He Thunders with His powerful voice! Ascribe power to God. His majesty is over Israel, His power among the clouds. God, You are awe-inspiring in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. May God be praised!

The power of design.  My son, you have come before Me in the way I designed you.  You come to Me in worship, delighting yourself in Me. We fellowship, commune, and speak heart to heart.  Out of our discourse comes clarity of vision, heart, and mind.  And then we begin to create together, in our union, new things are conceived, intimacy is confirmed, and growth occurs.  Out of this flows changes, life and life more abundantly.

Some look at you and the results, desiring to discover the formula, seeking the step by step process.  They fail to see it is first looking inward and letting Me show them their design.  What does design mean in a practical sense?  Find the thing we do together and connect effortlessly.  Maybe that is going for a stroll, reading,  washing dishes, or taking a shower. Go to the point of connection, let’s build from there. Let’s connect in multiple ways and on multiple levels. It is an open invitation.

The hymn “How Great Thou Art” is connected to this. This hymn captures the impact of the fear of the LORD. Whether we ponder God’s handiwork in heavens, on the earth, or upon the Cross, we cannot help but be moved to awe. Our God is just that big—all powerful, unending, and with a love that has no limits. And yet, He is a very personal God, One who is intimately involved in our lives and the redemption of our souls. To be in awe of our God, moves us to worship Him. Although we cannot fully comprehend Him, we cannot help but cry “how great thou art!”

A Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “Rending the Heavens with Humility.”

Proverbs 22:4 (TPT) Laying your life down in tender surrender before the Lord will bring life, prosperity, and honor as your reward.

Beloved, surrender your will to Mine. Lay it down as a humble, heartfelt offering before the One who made you. True power and authority does not come in human strength, but in your ability to yield to the One who wields all power – the One who is sovereign: Me.

So rend the heavens with humility as you lay down your life as a pleasing offering before Me. Then watch as I move in power – in and through you – bringing life, prosperity, and honor to the one who chose to honor Me first. Delight in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart, beloved. So delight in Me.

Another Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “Allow My Spirit-Wind to Move You.”

John 3:5-6 (TPT) Jesus answered, “I speak an eternal truth: Unless you are born of water and Spirit-wind, you will never enter God’s kingdom realm. For the natural realm can only give birth to things that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to supernatural life!

Beloved, pursue Me. Seek hard after the things of heaven, and expect the wind of My Spirit to blow. Be intentional to cultivate your spiritual senses. That which you focus on, you make room for. If you want more of My Spirit, make room by focusing in, and hone your senses so that you might receive.

I AM always eager and ready to interact with My children. If you press into Me, I will press in to you. The depth of relationship available to you with Me is fathomless. So spread wide your arms and throw back your head, and allow My Spirit-wind to move you.

Beloved, search the heavens and see the beauty I have placed there for you to behold. Let your gaze become fixed on the grandeur of My creation set before you. Allow My heavenly handiwork to catch your attention and draw you in towards Me. Lift your eyes to My vast display in the heavens and be pulled even closer to Me. Allow the brilliance of My handiwork to capture your attention; as you settle your gaze on Me. Let the intricacies of My splendor draw you in – pulling you yet deeper into My beauty and mystery.

The more you gaze in wonder, the more I am seen by you – revealed to you. Be intoxicated by My awe and majesty. Be transfixed and unable to look away. Be drawn deeper into the mysteries of Me. Cultivate in yourself a hunger for knowing Me. Choose to keep your gaze steadfastly fixed on Me and don’t look away – be intentional to search for Me. Look beyond what first meets the eyes. Be transformed by the awe and wonder of who I AM.

I call to you. I call for you to lift your eyes and fix them on My depths above. And as your eyes (and the eyes of your heart) scan the heavens, new realms open before you. As you seek, your heart begins to understand the great magnitude of who I AM, and it begins to filter into your heart and mind, pulling you even closer to Me. As you look more closely, you’ll find an amazing sense of awe fills your heart – an overflow of adoration is the natural outcome of this closeness to Me. The more you stand in My beauty and presence, the more your heart bows in adoration of Me. Allow those new senses to be awakened in you. The magnitude of My depth will be revealed as well as an even greater depth within you, if you allow yourself to be drawn to Me. So fix your gaze, beloved, and allow your heart to soar to new heights and for new depths to be revealed. Seek to fathom Me, the fathomless God.

A final Prophetic Nugget from Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Ministries is connected to this. It’s called “Seek to Fathom Me.”

Job 11:7 (NIV) Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

Beloved, I AM fathomless, yet I AM worth the effort to try. The depths of My mysteries have no end. The stretch of My hand goes beyond comprehension. And yet, those who seek Me are blessed, and those who hunger and thirst for Me are filled.

So though My ways may defy understanding, still you should seek to understand. And though My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, seek to raise yours to Mine. I AM fathomless, beloved, and yet seek to fathom Me.
