War Horse

WarHorse_SMWar Horse represents the ride in battle, the high place of authority, and the strength that comes from Him. He has equipped us and prepared us, He has trained my hands for battle, trained my hands for war (2 Samuel 22:35).

“Do you give the horse his might? Do you clothe his neck with a mane? Do you make him leap like the locust? His majestic snorting is terrifying. He paws in the valley and exults in his strength; he goes out to meet the weapons. He laughs at fear and is not dismayed; he does not turn back from the sword. Upon him rattle the quiver,  the flashing spear, and the javelin. With fierceness and rage he swallows the ground; he cannot stand still at the sound of the trumpet. When the trumpet sounds, he says ‘Aha!’ He smells the battle from afar, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.” Job 39:19-25 (ESV)

“The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” Job 33:4 (ESV)

“You have granted me life and steadfast love… Your visitation has preserved my spirit.” Job 10:12 (ESV/WEB)

It is a battle season. There are seasons of rest and refreshing (like our Exulting in His Salvation image), and there are seasons of trials and war. This is a season of pressing forward, taking ground – fighting, surging on. Merriam-Webster defines surge as “to suddenly increase to an unusually high level.” That’s what we see in this image, the war horse – a symbol of strength and steadfastness, our vessel of forward movement – powering us onward, taking new ground in a harsh environment holding steady and without stumbling taking us to higher heights.

{sensing} The horse and rider have authority and are ruling from a place of authority. A perspective of rulership over the assignment and responsibility entrusted by Father. A seat of power. And the area has already been cleansed and dedicated as unto the Lord, as symbolized by the snow, but there are more assignments on the horizon, the next assignment is in view. The warriors, horse and rider, brooding with Holy Spirit over this next mountain. Out of the brooding, or meditating, there will flow strategy, connections, provision, and destiny fulfilled.

The name of the silk in this image is Brave Heart. The colors in it are gray representing strength, purple representing kingdom authority, baby blue representing seated with the Lord in heavenly places, black representing deep calls unto deep and humility, cobalt blue representing word of God, and silver shimmer representing light of Christ.

Thank You, Father that You visit us – visitations of Your love, Your strength, Your power. You preserve us and give us life! You stretch our stakes and enlarge our territory. You battle with us just as You rest with us. We dedicate the battle to You and to You goes every victory!

  1. I love this! I never would have thought of the color gray as representing strength. The art is stunning!
