Stand Fast

Stand Fast depicts the need to be steadfast in faith during adversity and the certainty of God’s promises.

“Count it all joy… when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” – James 1:2-4

The silk in this image is River of Promise. The colors in it are turquoise representing the river of God flowing down, royal blue representing the prophetic word of the Lord, and dark chartreuse green representing new life and flourishing. This silk is prayed over and anointed with the Scent of Heaven’s the Promise, which is used as a reminder that God is faithful to His promise – His word.

When we lose sight of His promises we lose hope – that opens a door for the enemy to bring havoc. So we must trust and wait and know He will fulfill His word. His promises are our anchor. We must hold onto them as such. Trusting Him brings strength, healing, promise, peace and comfort. And trusting Him is a form of worship.

The tree in this image is called the witness tree (because it withstood five massive earthquakes and a sand boil at the age of 120 years and is now over 300 years old.) It represents a determination to stand fast in the face of adversity. Because of the willingness to be steadfast, we see the floodgates of heaven being opened to its right as the river of promise pours forth – confirmed by the double rainbow, which is a reminder of God’s promise (Genesis 9:13).

I pray that you would stand fast on the Lord’s promises. Be immovable in your faith and trust in the Lord, for He is faithful and His promises will come to pass. Though it tarries, it tarries not. As you bear with Him long, He will suddenly open the storehouses of heaven to pour forth the fullness of His promises.

This image has special impact for me on numerous levels, but primarily because this is EXACTLY where I am right now – standing fast, believing and trusting and allowing my faith to grow. I know He is faithful and His promises will come to full fruition – I see a cloud the size of a man’s hand off in the distance! (1 Kings 18:44)

This is beautiful. The open field in the background speaks volumes to me, as we have been standing over our seed….just waiting….for the harvest to come, even a glimpse of what it will look like. And to see the ground that looks dry, no growth in the earth, our hearts would grow weary and we would be discouraged. But, the colors you represent with the scarf is perfect. I love the serenity of the dark chartreuse and the billow effect it has over her atmosphere as she stands there in her Father’s field. This scarf waves and flows like a banner of promise, hovering over the seeds that lie beneath the soil. Brings such peace, thank you for sharing your gift of art with the Body of Christ.

@Meghan: Before I read your comment I was thinking the same thing…so very true!
It’s very beautiful and striking all at the same time. Very anointed and on-time for so many in this season.

I definately identify with this one (along with others!) too. It definately brings a lump to my throat. I know lately we’ve probably all been seeing lots of double rainbows and they’ve been an encouragement. This image protrays how I’ve been feeling, still standing in the barren land but the promise is still behind me. Thanks Meghan

Ditto. Ditto. Ditto. Everyone said it so well. So many of us are there. Numbers 23:19 “”God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Beautiful depiction of standing fast.

Love this one Meghan, It is so where I am right now to. I keep hearing the words Trust over and over. the last few months have been pretty tough. So I am Trust in him and working on my Faith, I have Faith just sometimes second guess myself and I need to stop. One day on the way to work God to me, “Press in no matter what”. It is all about him and stop worrying about things that don’t really matter. He is “GOOD, ALL THE TIME”. I may need to get this card and place it with my Steadfast Letter. Again thank you Maghen for all you do for Gods Kingdom.
