Locked Garden

Locked Garden is a celebration of intimacy. We see the promised bride dancing – joyous and overwhelmed by love.

Song of Solomon 5:1, “I have come into my garden, my sister, my [promised] bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my balsam and spice [from your sweet words I have gathered the richest perfumes and spices]… Eat, O friends [feast on, O revelers of the palace; you can never make my lover disloyal to me]! Drink, yes, drink abundantly of love, O precious one [for now I know you are mine, irrevocably mine! With His confident words still thrilling her heart, through the lattice she saw her shepherd turn away and disappear into the night].”

Because she knows her Beloved will return, below her feet is the scarf Joyful Expectation. The colors in it are:

  • White representing childlike faith
  • Golden yellow representing joy
  • Chartreuse green representing praise
  • Emerald green representing hope
  • Silver shimmer representing strengthened faith

The verse that goes with this scarf is Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”

Above her head – “covering her” – is a scarf called Precious Blood – His sacrifice for her, His banner of love. The colors in it are:

  • Earthy red representing His blood poured out on the earth
  • Ox blood red representing sacrifice

And finally, above the trees is a scarf called Consecrated unto the Lord. It’s created by first dipping it in Precious Blood and then it is covered in cream dye representing sweet aroma unto the Lord, which is what our lives are when we live unreservedly for Him.

I pray that you would dance and rejoice – delight in the Beloved – be swept away in the romance of your life as you surrender all to Him, making yourself a sweet fragrance as a living sacrifice to Him.

Another favorite at my church. I think every woman wants to feel and be seen like this. Beautiful thing it, that IS how He sees us 🙂
